Cancellation Policy

Thank you for booking Winterborne Stickland Sports and Community Club. The Club is run and maintained entirely by volunteers and so we would appreciate you reading the following checklist so that you can enjoy your event safely and also help us to look after our precious village resource. This checklist summarises most of the points in our hirer’s agreement but is not a replacement for the full guidance contained in that important document, which should be read in full prior to hiring the club. This can be found on our T&C’s page. Health and Safety: It is the duty of the WSSCC Committee to make sure that health and safety checks are carried out and any actions needed are completed within the timescales we are given. As the hirer, you are responsible for the health and safety of your guests while they are on the premises (this means the Club House and the grounds) • The post code of the Sports and Community Club is DT11 0LZ The ThreeWords unique location code is flesh.kilt.hovered The full address, postcode and threewords can be found on the noticeboard to the left of the doorway as you exit the Club. • The First Aid Kit is located on the wall by the double doors opposite the bar. The Accident Book is located on the main notice board by the main door. If a guest requires treatment at hospital, the Accident Book needs to be filled in. There are also “Near Miss” book which we would be grateful for you to fill in if needed. • Familiarise yourself with the building and the fire exits, there is a fire escape plan on the main notice board. • Make sure you know where the fire exits are and make sure there is nothing blocking them. There is a plan on the main notice board. • Be prepared to be the person that the Fire Brigade will need to talk to if they are called out. There is a high-viz jacket under the Bar to help you be easily identified when they arrive. Please take the fire document folder with you. The Fire Assembly Point is in the children’s play park. Please go there straight away and do not obstruct the main entrance. General points: Only use the Club for the purpose you have stated in the Hire Agreement. • The Tennis Club and Croquet Club also have a right to be using the premises, so please allow them access to the toilets, first aid facilities and the Croquet lawns. • You are responsible for following food hygiene legislation and regulations if you are serving food during your booking.
